Dear Prospective Families,
Welcome to the Montessori School for Young Children! Thank you for your interest in learning more about Montessori education and the Montessori School for Young Children community.
As a parent of three young children, I value the decision process a family undertakes when selecting a preschool for their child. When touring the Montessori School for Young Children as a parent more than 10 years ago, I was immediately attracted to the peaceful environment of the school and what the Montessori philosophy offered my child.
When visiting the school you will be able to witness the teachers serving as guides in the classrooms. Children are allowed the freedom to explore their interests with new and intriguing lessons continually available. Children develop independence in multi-aged communities and learn at their own pace.
An important part of enrolling your child in a Montessori program is visiting the school. Tours are scheduled at the Montessori School for Young Children on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during the following times:
Toddler Program: as early as 9:15 am or as late as 11:15 am
AM Preschool Program: as early as 9:15 am or as late as 11:00 am
PM Preschool Program: as early as 12:15 pm or as late as 2:30 pm
Please call 402-489-4366 or email the Montessori School for Young Children to check tour availability. You may also request an information packet prior to touring.
You can expect your tour to take about 30 minutes. Your child is invited to attend your tour. During your visit, we will discuss the best program for your child. If there are openings in the program your family desires, you will be given the opportunity to start the application process.
Our programs are often at capacity for students with an average wait of 1-2 years. I encourage you to complete a Wait List Application at your earliest convenience. You will be contacted as soon as a spot becomes available for your child in your desired program.
